- Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic screenings, and developing personalized care strategies
- Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (depending on your credentials)
- Empowering patients and their families with knowledge on prevention, wellness, and medical management
- Prescribing medications and treatment plans as per your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic illness management
- Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and cohesive care
- Maintaining meticulous and precise documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within a 90-day period)
