MEDICAL ASSISTANT SPECIALIST FLOAT - FULL TIME

Medical AssistantEssential FunctionsSummons and prepares patient for office visit.Assists the physician with medical office proceduresAdministers medication, including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physicians as required by specialty.Adheres to nursing policies and procedures when documenting information in patient's medical record.Maintains the integrity of the officeAssumes responsibility for maintaining current certification in CPRAccepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policies and procedures and Nursing Update newsletters.Is an active member of the care team and may include additional duties related to care coordination.RequirementsRequired Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.Preferred Education and Experience:Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Medical Assistant.
