Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary: At our clinic in New Braunfels, TX, the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner works under the direction of a Physician. The role includes handling patient appointments, performing routine examinations, advising patients on healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate medical records. This position is ideal for skilled professionals passionate about top‑tier skin care and treatment services. Responsibilities & Duties: Conduct thorough skin examinations and consultations. Diagnose and treat common dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Perform minor dermatological procedures, including biopsies and cryotherapy. Educate patients on skin care practices and preventative measures. Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans for various skin conditions. Assist dermatologists in advanced procedures and surgeries. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Participate in the development and implementation of patient care policies. Stay updated with the latest advancements in dermatology through continuous education. Provide post‑treatment care and follow‑up with patients. Required Qualifications: Master of Science in Nursing (NP or PA) from an accredited program. Current Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Texas. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Certification from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Board Certification. Valid, unrestricted TX license (or willingness to obtain). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Prior experience in a dermatology setting. Strong knowledge of dermatological conditions and treatments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
