Project Manager, Social Impact

Job Summary
Panorama Global is hiring a Project Manager, Social Impac t to support day-to-day project execution for programs across diverse issue areas and approaches to advancing impact. This role is part of Panorama’s Managed and Supported team, which leads, facilitates, and supports programs ranging from full strategic and programmatic execution to scalable and fractional operational support across a broad range of programs. Our team operates in a matrix structure, working in close collaboration with operations, external affairs, and other teams across the organization.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, solutions-minded project manager who can bring structure, momentum, and organization to the specific projects and initiatives assigned to them within a broader portfolio of social impact programs. The ideal candidate is a strong implementer and communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams, managing up and across, building useful systems, and helping people stay aligned and moving forward. This position reports to either the Associate Director or a Senior Program Officer, Social Impact, depending on the assignment, and will work with team members at all levels. This position is based in either our Seattle or New York offices; staff work in-office 3 days per week.

Essential Functions & Core Responsibilities

Project Management and Support (80%): Serve as project manager for specific projects and initiatives as assigned in the Managed and Supported portfolio, with guidance from the project lead as needed.

• Oversee and manage day-to-day responsibilities to support project execution, working closely with the project lead, project team members, and Managed and Supported leadership.
• Maintain work plans, roadmaps, project management tools, and tracking systems to support coordination, accountability, and quality outcomes.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, internal and external meetings, logistics, communications, materials, notes, and follow-up.
• Develop, research, draft, and copy edit project materials, including proposals, presentations, briefings, reports, one-pagers, newsletters, and research briefs.
• Support administrative, operational, and systems functions, including contracting, grant management, expense management, communications, data entry, documentation, and SharePoint maintenance.
• Serve as a program team resource for routine systems use, process implementation, and troubleshooting.

Organizational Support (20%): Support the continued development of the Managed and Supported team, the Social Impact department, and Panorama’s platform:

• Serve as a cross-team resource for core operational activities—such as grantmaking, contracting, budget review, or measurement, learning, and evaluation—in collaboration with operations teams.
• Identify and collaborate on opportunities to document internal resources and refine systems and processes to enable frictionless project implementation.
• Support Managed and Supported team development, including internal knowledge sharing, team meetings/building, and development of our practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• Project management and execution: Demonstrated detail-oriented project management experience (typically 2-4 years), including managing projects or programs from conception through implementation; ability to balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, and identify when to request reprioritization.
• Collaboration and stakeholder management: Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders while maintaining strong relationships, transparency, and a genuine desire to collaborate as part of a team. Experience managing up and across in a collaborative setting.
• Communication and problem-solving: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to synthesize information for diverse audiences, build consensus, troubleshoot, and operationalize work effectively.
• Technology and systems: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Salesforce or a similar CRM, and Asana or similar project management tools and/or willingness to learn new software.
• Judgment and initiative: Proactive, adaptable, and able to work efficiently with appropriate independence; comfortable making decisions within the role’s scope while seeking support and guidance when needed.
• Related experience: Prior knowledge from work in philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, and/or social impact issues.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting/Standing/Mobility: Approximately 30% of time is spent standing or moving between work areas. The balance of time (approximately 70%) is spent sitting at a desk, bench, or in meetings.
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or frequently or constantly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects with a negligible amount of force. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. • The ability to communicate information and ideas in English so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Manual dexterity required for equipment operation and occasional reaching and lifting of small objects.
• Reaching/Handling: Good manual dexterity for computer keyboard use and the ability to retrieve and work with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies.

Compensation & Benefits

The starting annual salary for this non-exempt role is between $60,000 and $70,000, representing the minimum to the midpoint of the salary band. When determining an initial offer, we carefully consider these factors: the candidate's skills and experience; room for growth within the band; and internal equity across the team.
