Patient Care Tech CNA Internal Travel Team

Job Description A Patient Care Tech has accountability for providing care to patients in an acute care setting. This involves caring for patients with acute and chronic needs in our iFlex internal travel department. Posting Specifics Flat Rate: $40/hr Must have CNA license in Montana Initial assignment location: Miles City, MT hospital Shift Details: Variable 12‑hour shifts, predominantly night shift Hours: 36 weekly Benefit Eligible: No Travel Requirements Expected to float if not needed at assigned facility Assignments accepted at any Intermountain region and facility (Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada) Essential Functions Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights, assisting with hygiene, nourishing, obtaining vital signs, and communicating constructively with the care team Check and document patient vitals, glucose, inputs and outputs Assist nurses and physicians within scope and competency Participate in meeting patient experience goals Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges in compliance with safe patient handling principles Adhere to infection prevention standards Skills Apply technical skills to gather patient data and perform patient care tasks (weight, height, vitals, intake/output measures, EKGs, specimen collection) Accept supervision and work well with others Strong oral and written communication skills Maintain regular attendance during scheduled shifts Ability to work nights and/or weekends Minimum Qualifications Certification as a CNA in the state of Montana Current BLS certification required upon hire Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: 2 years of experience in an acute healthcare setting Physical Requirements Need to see, read, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies Communicate verbally, hear and understand spoken information quickly and accurately, especially during emergencies Manual dexterity for manipulating complex equipment, frequent computer use, and typing for documentation Expected to lift, carry, and move patients and equipment, including heavy items; bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies Assist with transporting and ambulating patients, pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment; navigate crowded rooms May stand in a stationary position for extended periods Location Good Samaritan Hospital Holy Rosary Hospital Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital Platte Valley Hospital Saint Joseph Hospital St. Marys Regional Hospital St James Hospital Work City Miles City Work State Montana Scheduled Weekly Hours 0 Hourly Rate The hourly range for this position is listed below.
