Position Summary The EHS Manager is responsible for EHS management for the Distribution Center at our Danville, KY site. Will coordinate all aspects of environmental, health and safety (EHS) management to successfully meet or exceed enterprise and business unit goals. Will lead the Site Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program to protect employees, contractors, visitors, and the environment – while supporting safe, compliant, uninterrupted operations and continuous improvement. Reports to the Site Leader with a dotted‑line connection to Corporate EHS. Partners daily with Operations, Lean, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and HR. Leads and develops an on‑site EHS team. Essential Functions Own and improve the site EHS management system aligned to Parker directives and legal requirements Drive regulatory compliance (OSHA/EPA and local/state/provincial requirements), permits, reporting, and inspections Lead audits, risk assessments, incident/near‑miss investigations, and corrective actions Maintain ISO 14001 environmental management system readiness and performance Embed EHS into daily operations, tier meetings, metrics, and leader standard work Support capital projects and Management of Change (MOC) with strong EHS integration Manage contractor safety programs (prequalification, orientation, permits, oversight) Strengthen safety culture through engagement, observations, ergonomics, and focused risk‑control programs Maintain emergency preparedness plans, drills, training, and response readiness Coach and develop EHS staff; build site capability in EHS and continuous improvement/Lean methods Qualifications Bachelor degree in a manufacturing‑related business or technical discipline 8+ years of progressive EHS/manufacturing operations experience 4+ years in a leadership role with strong project planning and team coordination skills Working knowledge of OSHA (including PSM), EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements Strong skills in problem‑solving, standardization, program management, and continuous improvement Self‑starter who works well cross‑functionally and drives results Professional certification/designation preferred Competitive Compensation Participation in Annual Incentive Program Benefit & Retirement Plans Comprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, voluntary optional life, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium cost. 401(k) Plan with company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of pay Company provided defined‑contribution retirement plan with annual contribution equal to 3% of pay Career development and tuition reimbursement Other benefits including paid parental leave, short and long‑term disability programs, adoption assistance, a Care.com membership and financial planning assistance are provided at no cost to you.
