Radiography Technologist

Here at the Elliot our CT team utilizes Siemens scanners. These scanners are known for ease of use and speed. We incorporate auto 3D software into our protocols to be as efficient as possible. Our work core is large, comfortable, and modern. Our Radiologists are reading 24/7. We also have a brand-new Emergency room, and it's ready to serve our community! The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A multimodality technologist performs radiographic and CT Scan procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What you’ll do:

• Maintains a working knowledge of all radiographic and CT Scan equipment within the department.
• Prepares and positions patient for CT and X-Ray procedures according to the procedure manual.
• Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined while minimizing radiation.
• Prepares and/or administers contrast media, i.e., orally, IV, rectally.
• Checks patient charts for lab results and allergies prior to the administration of IV contrast.
• Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.

Who you are:

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, required.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification, required.
• ARRT (CT) certification, required within 24 months of hire.
• ARRT (Rad Tech) certification, required.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
