Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of medical conditions and those recovering from surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care while ensuring positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Asse ss, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Monitor patients' conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment. Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately. Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education acti vities. Required Qualifications Act ive and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights, as required. Preferred Qualifications Bac helor of Science in Nursing (BSN). One or more years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Experience working in an acute care hospital setting. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN or MEDSURG-BC). Experience with EPIC or other electronic health record (EHR) system s.
