Corporate Accountant

Location: Savannah, GA Department: Accounting Experience Level: Mid Senior Level Type: Full Time, In Office Hussey Gay Bell is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Corporate Accountant with approximately 5 years of professional accounting experience to join our growing team. This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting management with financial analysis and decision‑making. Core Position Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Work with external auditors during annual audits. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management. Participate in process improvement and system enhancement initiatives. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CPA eligibility preferred. 4–6 years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Preferred Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Ajera, Deltek, QuickBooks, or similar).
