Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1–6 years of experience to join a premier litigation practice handling sophisticated and high-stakes disputes. This is an exceptional opportunity for attorneys seeking exposure to complex litigation matters, significant responsibility, and direct involvement in some of the most challenging legal issues facing businesses and organizations today.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding writing skills, strong academic credentials, exceptional attention to detail, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities- Support all phases of complex commercial litigation matters
- Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive legal filings
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
- Participate in discovery, witness preparation, and deposition preparation
- Assist with trial strategy, hearing preparation, and case management
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on high-profile matters
- Interface with clients and litigation teams on case development and strategy
- 1–6 years of litigation experience
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and demanding environment
- California Bar admission required
- Base salary range: $225,000 – $390,000
