Benefits Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities Staff Safety (wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern) Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions) Malpractice liability insurance Loan forgiveness EPIC electronic charting system Type of Opportunity Full time, FTE 0.90, Not exempt, 12 Hour Night shifts (United States of America) Responsibilities Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures, including monitoring and assessment of consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, and delivery of IV conscious sedation agents (opioids, benzodiazepines, sedative hypnotics and their reversal agent) Initiate ventilator protocols; implement and coordinate ventilator management Perform advanced airway care (tracheotomy changes, extubation, intubation) Initiate and monitor high‑frequency ventilators In NICU: perform surfactant delivery, intubation, attend high‑risk deliveries Optional procedures: transport team, intubation, and backup charge therapist Initiate and monitor nitric oxide delivery Perform department‑specific functions as detailed in the department summary Other duties as assigned Qualifications Two to three years of college‑level courses, associate degree, or diploma in respiratory care New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner license Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC (required) ACLS and/or PALS certificate (required) BLS required Six months to one year of critical care experience preferred Education Associate degree (essential) Credentials Respiratory Care Practitioner‑NM, Regulatory Respiratory Therapist (NBRC), Current BLS required EEO Statement AA/EOE/VET/DISABLED.
