About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: Critical Care experience Advanced skills in vents, arterial lines, titration drips, post-craniotomy care, and care for post-cath lab patients. Description: The Critical Care Unit provides care for critically ill patients. The unit consists of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 1 nurse per 2 patients. Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and techs available as needed. Equipment includes Phillips central monitoring systems. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling includes every other weekend. Staff may float to Med/Surg and PCU for assignments and may float to the ER to assist with tasks or care for hold patients. Certifications required are ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale. The dress code consists of royal blue or black scrubs. Unit policies and guidelines are available for review. The department has been recognized as a Top 25 Unit of Distinction in 2021. The facility is smaller, maintaining adequate nurse-to-patient ratios with a supportive team environment.
