Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Evening/Night Rotation (3:00 PM–3:00 AM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients presenting with a wide range of emergency diagnoses including trauma, stroke, cardiac events, and orthopedic injuries
• Perform triage, IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and administration of blood products and IV vasopressors
• Manage and monitor patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilation
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias via continuous cardiac monitoring
• Care for patients with neurological conditions including CVA, TBI, neuro-trauma, and spinal cord injury
• Maintain isolation precautions and utilize specialized equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment; float within skillset as required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State single-state RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; NY is not a Compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (valid NIHSS must be included at submission)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Demonstrated clinical skills in IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and emergency trauma care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for pediatric emergency patients including pediatric spinal cord injury
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity emergency department setting
