The receiving clerk will receive, check and route incoming materials for subsequent use.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position is responsible for

• Receives incoming materials at dock.
• Drives forklift as required to move material / unloads material from Tractor Trailers.
• Unpacks and verifies shipment against packing lists or other records.  
• Employs the use of SAP to receive materials into Inventory.
• Routes materials to the proper staging lanes that correspond to the receiving board. Which dictates material movement to proper departments/ identifies issues. 
• Maintains file of open RMA’s and issues notice to Order Editing upon receipt of unauthorized return material.
• Identify issues with incoming material or PO’s.
• Reads and interprets open P.O. file to verify questionable P.O. numbers and/or part numbers.
• Final counts material to verify quantities.

  REQUIREMENTS:  

• Assisting in unloading materials.
• Processes paperwork, such as:  Bills of Lading, way bills, shipping orders.
• Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook.
• May use hand tools to open crates or cartons for verification.
• Uses hand truck, overhead crane, weigh and counting scales in performance of his duties.
• Is responsible for identity and quantity of purchased parts. 
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
• Has general knowledge of shop practice.

Work Environment:

Spends 95% of the time in a   manufacturing/shop environment and 5% in an office environment. Will be exposed to possible hazards including working with high-pressure equipment, working in confined spaces, high noise, inclement weather, chemicals, pressure testing, heavy lift operations and shop/field traffic . 

Physical Demands:

Frequent walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing upward, crawling in confined workspaces and lifting daily.
