Job Full Description Production Welder Mon-Fri, 6:30AM - 2:30PM Full-time, $21.00-$26.50
DIRECT HIRE Position Summary
The production welder is responsible for welding, assembling and building production parts, and assemblies that align with the associated prints. This role combines hands-on fabrication/weld technical expertise with strong communication and organizational skills to ensure parts meet customer cost and quality expectations. This fast-paced position must align daily with the build schedule and team interaction to ensure customer expectations are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
1. Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
2. Proficiently perform in a fast-paced production weld environment
3. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
4. Assure accurate reporting of labor and material to each customer work order
5. Attain high quality levels of production.
6. Ability to think out of the box
7. Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship
8. Align to all company policies and procedures
Quality & Safety
1. Effectively assess projects ensuring work can be done safely prior to performing the work
2. Ensure workmanship meets customer quality expectations (align to the print)
3. Participate in root cause analysis for recurring defects or failures
4. Support continuous improvement initiatives
5. Forklift and overhead crane experience
Qualifications Required
1. High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
2. 2-5+ years of fabrication and production weld experience
3. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG and or Stick experience a plus
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
5. Knowledge of weld defects and repair techniques
6. Strong attention to detail and quality
7. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
8. Good communication skills and ability to interact with coworkers professionally
9. Strong willingness to learn
Preferred
1. Experience in a production weld setting
2. Familiarity with lean manufacturing process improvement
3. Creative Thinker
