Requirements

Job Description

Hospital is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for a 13-week contract in Utica, New York. The ED has 64 beds, including acute care, trauma, triage, observation, fast-track, and psychiatric areas.

The RN will care for newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with a wide range of emergency conditions, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Nurses are expected to care for all assigned ED patients, including SANE patients, and must be comfortable with floating as required.

Charge capability is highly preferred. Experience with critical drips, emergency medications, and Epic is required.

Key Requirements

• Active New York RN license

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience

• Some pediatric ED experience

• Previous travel nursing experience required

• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS

• Current NIHSS and TNCC

• Epic experience required

• Specialty-matched skills checklist

• Strong emergency and critical-care skills

• Charge nurse capability highly preferred

• Comfortable caring for patients across all age group

• Local candidates living within 75 miles may be considered at the local rate.
