Computer Aided Design Technician

Description Duration: 12 months contract with possibility of extension Location: Saline, MI (Onsite) Payrate: $28-$30 per hour on W‑2 basis without benefit/holidays/vacations Shift Timing: 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM What you’ll be doing Operate ZEISS blue light, ATOS, and FARO equipment to measure body‑in‑white assemblies, individual components, and tooling. Generate detailed measurement data reports to verify accuracy, conformance, and build quality. Support prototype build activities, group requests, and other assigned tasks as needed. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to help address changing priorities and support multiple areas of need. Requirements What you bring High School Diploma or GED. Experience with weldment, jig, or fixture measurement and scanning. Experience using CAD software to manipulate vehicle, component, and part data (at least 2 years in CATIA, NX/Unigraphics, Creo, SolidWorks, etc.). Experience creating measurement plans from CAD software and data points (at least 2 years). Supports customer objectives by adapting to changing priorities and assisting in multiple functional areas as required. Exhibits a customer‑focused mindset through flexibility, responsiveness, and willingness to support a range of assignments and responsibilities. What you may bring Associate degree in Metrology or Quality Engineering, or a related technology field. Experience using KPIs for goal setting and process management.
