Scientist II (Associate)
Location: Lower Gwynedd, PA – Onsite
Pay Rate: $36.35/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Overview
We are looking for a Scientist II (Associate) to join the Analytical Sciences team. This role will perform analytical testing of drug products and APIs, primarily using HPLC/UPLC and dissolution testing .
The ideal candidate has a strong Analytical Chemistry background and hands-on laboratory experience in chromatography, data analysis, and GMP-regulated environments.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Analytical Chemistry or related field + 4–6 years of relevant experience
- OR MS + 1–3 years of relevant experience
- OR PhD + 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on analytical laboratory experience
- Strong experience with HPLC/UPLC and dissolution
- Experience with chromatographic data analysis/integration
- Experience using Empower or similar chromatography software
- Experience with ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook)
- Ability to analyze raw data and prepare graphs/visualizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UV spectroscopy
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Knowledge of GMP, quality, compliance, and data integrity
- Experience troubleshooting chromatography, dissolution, or spectroscopy
- Experience working independently in a laboratory
- Knowledge of statistics, Excel, or Minitab
- Experience with comparative or multi-media dissolution studies
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of drug products and APIs
- Conduct HPLC/UPLC and dissolution testing
- Analyze chromatography and spectroscopy data
- Perform chromatographic integration and data review
- Prepare graphs and other data visualizations
- Present analytical results to the team
- Troubleshoot analytical testing issues
- Follow laboratory GMP, quality, compliance, and data integrity requirements
- Work closely with Senior Scientists and cross-functional teams
