Senior Mobile Software Engineer

Salary: $204,000 - 327,500 per year Requirements:

• We look for a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience at scale.
• We expect 12+ years of mobile app development experience, with deep specialization in iOS and senior-level engineering impact.
• We need expert command of Swift, including strong understanding of language internals, performance, and idiomatic design.
• We value a proven record of defining and delivering architecture for large-scale mobile platforms across multiple teams over multi-year timeframes.
• We require hands-on experience with GraphQL and the ability to shape scalable mobile data access patterns.
• We want deep expertise in TCA, including shared state management, performance tuning, and modular decomposition at scale.
• We seek someone who can lead without formal authority and influence technical direction through credibility, clarity, and sound engineering judgment.
• We require excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: prior experience at the Senior Staff level leading platform strategy across large, multi-team organizations.
• Preferred: experience influencing engineering culture through standards, guilds, or craft leadership.
• Preferred: familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and the mobile/backend interface.
• Preferred: strong SwiftUI experience and success driving adoption in complex production codebases.
• Nice to have: exposure to MVI architecture and evaluating trade-offs across architectural patterns.
• Nice to have: experience owning or designing CI/CD systems at scale using tools such as Bitrise or GitHub Actions.

• We define and own the multi-year technical vision for our iOS platform, including architecture principles, engineering standards, and platform frameworks.
• We lead the design of next-generation mobile frameworks and foundational systems used daily by tens of thousands of field technicians.
• We partner with product, design, data, and backend leadership at the executive and VP level to shape long-range roadmaps and business outcomes.
• We act as the primary technical authority for iOS across the organization, aligning multiple engineering groups and resolving the hardest architectural questions.
• We evaluate emerging Apple frameworks, platform capabilities, and industry trends to guide strategic technical investment.
• We architect scalable integrations with backend services through GraphQL and establish durable API and data access patterns.
• We champion and evolve our use of The Composable Architecture, advancing shared state, performance, and modular design practices.
• We define how AI-assisted development tools are integrated into iOS engineering workflows to improve productivity at scale.
• We mentor and elevate staff and senior engineers, serving as a technical role model and thought partner across the organization.
• We set and uphold the engineering bar for code quality, performance, testing, and architectural integrity.
