RN Pre-Op / Admissions Nurse

Location: Glens Falls, NY Contract Type: Travel Duration: 10 weeks Shift: 4x10 Days Pay: $2,416/week Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN Pre-Op / Admissions Nurse for a 10-week travel assignment supporting pre-admission, pre-operative, and recovery workflows in an acute care setting. The RN is responsible for coordinating admissions, performing assessments, supporting procedural sedation and block cases, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient flow. Candidates must have strong pre-op/admissions experience, Epic charting skills, and prior travel experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pre-op and admission patient assessments and intake
• Coordinate AM admissions, procedural blocks, and recovery flow
• Provide direct patient care within RN scope of practice
• Support and monitor patients receiving procedural sedation
• Assist with block procedures and recovery care
• Conduct phone pre-admission assessments
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff
• Ensure accurate and timely Epic documentation
• Follow patient safety and sedation protocols

Qualifications

• Active New York RN license required
• Minimum 2+ years Pre-Op / AM Admissions experience required
• Procedural sedation experience required
• Experience assisting with blocks and recovery required
• Phone assessment experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must meet local travel eligibility rules
