Sentara is hiring a Certified Central Sterile Service Technician II at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk Virginia.

Shift: Full Time Weekend Days

Job Description

The Central Sterile Services Technician I is responsible for the decontamination assembly sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments medical equipment and supplies used in patient care. This position operates and maintains sterilization equipment according to established procedures and standards. Examines medical equipment for defects and reports faulty equipment to appropriate personnel.

Education

• HSD/GED REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Certification - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Preferred

Experience

• 1 year CSS sterilization and/or central sterile processing experience preferred

We provide market-competitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.50 - $32.83 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials on-call pay overtime shift premiums extra-shift incentives or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications experience location market conditions and business needs. Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk VA is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977.
