Job Title: Material Handler – Vinyl Distribution Center

Hours: Mon-Fri 4am - 12:30pm

Pay: $23-$26/hr DOE

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of vinyl and fiberglass lineals used for window products within a distribution center environment. This role focuses strictly on warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping, without involvement in manufacturing or production line activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport vinyl and fiberglass lineals within the warehouse using forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders and transfer shipments accurately.
• Handle long, fragile lineals carefully to prevent damage such as bending, cracking, or surface defects.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists, orders, and inventory records.
• Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations for efficient access and inventory control.
• Bundle, wrap, label, and secure materials for shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and system updates (WMS or RF scanners).
• Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all warehouse procedures, shipping schedules, and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to be certified.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver long materials (up to 50–75 lbs).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification.
• Experience handling vinyl, fiberglass, or similar construction materials.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanning tools.

• Wear required PPE (steel-toe boots, gloves, high-visibility vest, eye protection)
• Safely operate all equipment within load limits
• Maintain awareness of surroundings when handling long materials
