Account Manager

Cleanview is a market intelligence platform that tracks data centers, renewable energy projects, and power plants across the United States. We process data from local permits, interconnection queues, EIA filings, FERC documents, SEC filings, and dozens of other public sources to help business development teams, analysts, and investors understand what's being built, where, and by whom.

Our research has been cited in The Washington Post, The New York Times, Reuters, Axios, Politico, and leading industry publications — and one recent investigation prompted a U.S. Senate inquiry. We're a profitable, bootstrapped company growing fast.

The role

Cleanview is hiring our first salesperson. We generate more inbound interest than we can handle. This is our first commercial hire, so there's real room to shape how this works and to grow into leading the function.

Key responsibilities

• Run demos. Take inbound calls from prospects and understand what they're trying to do and show them our platform.
• Answer questions. Prospects ask specific, technical questions over chat and email. Fast, credible answers win deals.
• Send proposals and close. You own the deal from first call to signed contract.
• Keep customers. Our contracts are annual. Renewals and expansion are yours too.
• Tell us what's working. Own the CRM, track what converts, and recommend what we should change about pricing, packaging, or the product.

Required skills and experience

• 3+ years closing — you've run your own demos and owned deals end to end, ideally selling data, research, or subscription products
• Enough industry fluency to hold your own with an analyst or developer — you're familiar with the power sector and/or large infrastructure development.
• Strong communication — a lot of this job is email and chat, in front of sophisticated buyers
• Origination and follow through. You don't lose deals to a forgotten follow-up.

Nice to have

• Sold market intelligence, data, or research subscriptions
• Background in power markets, utilities, energy, or data centers
• Early-stage experience — you've worked somewhere without a playbook and built one

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year
