Job Description Client Development Manager (Business Development) - Charlotte, NC - Hybrid Our client, a 45-year-old national IT staffing and technology solutions firm serving Fortune 500 companies, is hiring a Client Development Manager to lead new business development in the Charlotte market. Strong delivery team in place. This is a hunter role: you'll identify, prospect, and close new staffing relationships, and working closely with a local recruiting team to bring new accounts to life. You'll have a curated list of dormant client relationships to reactivate alongside true net-new prospecting, and real room to shape what this function becomes in the market. What you'll do:
Compensation: competitive base plus a multi-component incentive plan including ramp bonus, tiered commission up to 18%, and new-account growth bonuses.
- Build and run a targeted new-business pipeline across Technology, Procurement, HR/TA, and business leadership contacts
- Lead the full sales cycle - prospecting, discovery, solution development, negotiation, close
- Partner with recruiting to ensure a smooth transition from close to delivery
- Represent the firm in your market through networking, referrals, and industry events
- 5 years of business development or account management experience, ideally in IT/technical staffing or professional services (6-7 years considered for standout candidates)
- A genuine track record of winning new clients - not just managing an existing book
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
