Set the Stage provides design‑forward furniture packages and turnkey model‑unit staging for Class A/B+ multifamily buildings across New Jersey. Our principal service area is comprised of Union, Morris, Essex, and Somerset counties. We deliver curated collections, white‑glove installation, and fast ROI for property owners. We’re seeking a part-time, commission-only sales representative to expand our footprint in NJ’s luxury rental corridor.

Role Summary

• Establish 2-year tenant furniture supplier agreements with multi-family properties via relationships with the property or asset manager.
• Process tenant orders resulting from the furniture
• Where possible, sell model unit staging services to property managers
• This role is ideal for someone polished, self‑motivated, and comfortable selling high‑value solutions in luxury environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect Class A/B+ buildings using LinkedIn, NJAA events, and walk-ins
• Build relationships with property managers, leasing teams, and asset managers
• Conduct structured discovery meetings to uncover vacancy pain points
• Present ROI-driven value propositions (vacancy cost, rent premium, lease-up speed)
• Close agreements, handle objections, and secure pilot programs
• Pitch model unit staging and coordinate orders with operations

What You Bring

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence selling high-ticket products and ROI-based solutions
• Experience in real estate, multifamily, furniture, or design (preferred)
• Self-directed work style; able to manage your own pipeline
• Comfort with commission-only compensation and flexible hours (10–20/week)

Compensation

Commission Only

• Furniture Sales: 8-9% commission on package sales to tenants. 9–12% commission on direct-to-building sales based on volume. Accelerations available when goals are exceeded.
• 2-Year Agreement Bonuses: Range from $100-$1,500 depending on building size
• Model Unit Staging

· 5% commission on staging fees

· Additional commissions on relocations and month-to-month rentals
