Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Health Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale Salesforce solutions within the healthcare and life sciences space.

This is a senior technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in Salesforce Health Cloud , strong hands-on Salesforce development experience, and the ability to translate complex healthcare business requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at both the architectural and technical levels while partnering with business stakeholders, technical leaders, developers, and distributed delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Salesforce Health Cloud architecture, solution design, and delivery for complex enterprise healthcare implementations.
• Define technical strategy and architecture with a focus on scalability, security, performance, and healthcare compliance, including HIPAA and PHI requirements.
• Design solutions leveraging Health Cloud capabilities such as Patient/Member Profiles, Care Plans, Care Programs, Care Teams, Health Timelines, Assessments, Care Gaps, and Utilization Management .
• Translate complex healthcare and life sciences requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and technical designs.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor to business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, and leadership.
• Drive architecture across Salesforce, Health Cloud, custom extensions, integrations, data models, automation, and platform capabilities.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Triggers, Batch Apex, and Salesforce APIs .
• Define and govern integration architecture using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, FHIR, HL7 , and other healthcare integration standards.
• Architect integrations with EHR/EMR systems and support payer, provider, patient, and member workflows.
• Lead the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Review and approve high-level and detailed technical designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and Salesforce best practices.
• Establish standards around code quality, governor limits, performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability.
• Provide technical governance through architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and technical risk management.
• Identify and address technical debt, architectural risks, and opportunities for platform optimization.
• Lead and mentor distributed Salesforce teams, including developers, administrators, QA resources, and offshore/onshore delivery teams.
• Provide technical guidance around Salesforce security, sharing, data access, consent management, and compliance .
• Support DevOps and CI/CD processes using tools such as Copado, Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins , or comparable technologies.
• Partner with program and delivery leadership to manage technical scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement through proof-of-concepts, platform enhancements, and adoption of emerging Salesforce Health Cloud capabilities.
• Contribute to Salesforce roadmap planning, release strategy, platform modernization, and long-term architecture.
• Participate in Agile delivery environments, including sprint planning, technical refinement, and release management.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and implementing Salesforce Health Cloud solutions.
• Strong background in healthcare and/or life sciences environments.
• Proven experience serving as a Salesforce Architect or senior technical lead on enterprise implementations.
• Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, LWC, Flows, Triggers, Batch Apex, and APIs .
• Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, security, integrations, and platform limits.
• Experience with healthcare interoperability standards , particularly FHIR and HL7 .
• Experience integrating Salesforce with EHR/EMR platforms and other healthcare systems.
• Understanding of payer, provider, patient, and/or member lifecycle processes.
• Experience leading distributed or multi-shore technical teams.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to operate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to provide hands-on technical leadership while maintaining a broader enterprise architecture perspective.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect credentials.
• Salesforce Health Cloud Consultant certification.
• Experience with large-scale healthcare or life sciences transformations.
• Experience designing highly integrated Salesforce ecosystems.
• Experience working within Agile or Scaled Agile delivery environments.
• Experience evaluating and implementing new Salesforce Health Cloud capabilities.
