Information SpecialistThe Information Specialist supports the daily operations of the Office of Financial Aid by providing accurate information and assistance to students and parents regarding institutional, state, and federal financial aid procedures. The position coordinates document intake and distribution, communicates outstanding financial aid requirements, supports Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal processing, communicates SAP decisions, and assists with student loan default prevention. The position helps ensure timely service, accurate communication, and continuity of financial aid operations.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist students and parents; provide information concerning institutional, state, and federal financial aid proceduresReview, post, organize, and distribute documents submitted at the Financial Aid service deskCall or email students regarding financial aid appointments and outstanding requirements needed to complete their financial aid packagesPrepare and organize Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeals for committee reviewEmail students regarding SAP appeal decisions and related follow-up informationContact students to provide outreach intended to help prevent student loan defaultMaintain accurate documentation and route inquiries or documents to appropriate Financial Aid personnelPerform other duties as assigned by the DirectorQualificationsMinimum:Bachelor's degreeStrong written and verbal communication and organizational skillsAbility to exercise independent judgment and initiativeCommitment to student servicePreferred:Experience in financial aid, higher education, student services, or a related administrative settingFamiliarity with institutional, state, and federal financial aid proceduresExperience with student information systems, document management, and professional email/telephone communicationSupplemental InformationApplications without the following will not be considered complete.Cover LetterResumeTranscript(s) if applicableCurriculum Vitae if applicableReview of applications will begin November 10th, 2026 and continue until position is filled.BenefitsWe offer a complete benefits package to eligible employees including health care, dental, vision, retirement, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, long-term disability, short-term disability, holidays, annual, and sick leave.
