Community Support Specialist I - Virtual CDS Facilitator

Overview Community Support Specialist I - Virtual CDS Facilitator Location: Rockville, MD. Part-time position. 18 hours per week. Pay rate: $20 per hour. Responsibilities Plan and facilitate virtual sessions including skill-building, creative activities, fitness, social games, and community access topics. Support participants in building skills in daily living, communication, wellness, and self-advocacy. Promote inclusive participation and provide individualized support as needed within the group setting. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of sessions and participant progress. Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members regarding program content and participant engagement. Collaborate with other staff to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery. Provide supports to case managers in delivering services for the people served. Facilitate progress toward targeted goals and work behaviors using lesson plans and teaching methods. Complete and process reports, case notes, and other documentation in a timely manner. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma/GED. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills. Ability to work independently in a virtual environment. Comfort and proficiency with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom).
