Electrical Estimator

Electrical EstimatorThe Electrical Estimator will gather and analyze financial data to estimate and allocate costs for a current or proposed product.Duties/Responsibilities:Meets and collaborates with clients, engineers, and other staff to understand the products being developed.Reviews and analyzes existing and proposed processes, staff, and materials; identifies cost-reduction opportunities.Determines needs for additional staff, machinery, materials, and other resources.Estimates costs of new equipment or capital investment necessary for production.Drafts cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research; distributes reports to engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.Prepares reports forecasting production scenarios; makes recommendations based on findings.Identifies the pricing structure required for products to sell at profit.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Extensive knowledge of cost accounting principles.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to create forecasts based on financial data.Knowledge of NEC Codes, rules, and regulationsProficient with accounting software and cost software.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.Two years of related experience required.At least one year experience in Electrical EstimatingPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.Benefits: Competitive Pay Rates, paid EVERY Friday; Opportunities for Advancement; Paid Time Off (PTO) – Start accruing on Day 1!; Comprehensive Benefits Package available 1st of the month after 30 days, including: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Employee Assistance Program (EAP); Life Insurance and AD&D Company-Paid Basic Life Insurance for ALL Employees; Educational Assistance; 401(k) ProgramStrada Services is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
