Electronic Systems Security Mid-Level Technician Full Time Hourly 40 Hrs Professional Washington DC, DC, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 2528 Salary Range: $28.37 To $29.81 Hourly What You’ll Do: Assist with the design, procurement, logistics, installation, routine maintenance, sustainment, configuration, programming, and lifecycle replacement of PACS, IDS, VSS, and physical security systems within this contract, as well as the integration of other safety and security subsystems. Make sure equipment is updated and operational, meeting required local, state, federal, and ADA requirements. Assist with 3rd party security system integration and software updates and help train other personnel in the use of these systems. Assist with security assessments, technology upgrades, product selections, testing, field verification of systems and inspection of work in progress for compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Make recommendations for security equipment and systems. Assist with organization and management of parts stock and tools. Assist with issuing, assigning, and removing access rights for access control cards (PIV, non-PIV, visitor, etc.). Instruct employees in the use of systems. Establish and coordinate alarm codes and keep a record of those having access to such codes. Maintain inventory of essential parts and equipment to ensure repairs and installations in a timely manner. Ensure monitoring and timely resolution of service and repair issues. Maintain appropriate records as required. Create and run reports for ESS / physical security systems as required. Provide onsite ES training of Customer personnel as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience working with security systems to include service and maintenance across a broad spectrum, to also include with one (1) year experience inspecting of PACS, IDS, and VSS. Requires a Top-Secret clearance. CSEIP (Certified Systems Engineer ICAM PACS) Certified preferred, or MUST be able to obtain within 90 days of hire. Knowledge and experience of compliance with industry standards, policies, and guidelines such as: physical and electronic security; access and key control; HSPD; NIST SP; FICAM; OMB; and ISC. Knowledge of other security disciplines and their relationship to the electronic and physical security program to respond to and troubleshoot system problems. Demonstrate the ability to comprehend technical language, read, and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally. Demonstrate the ability to exercise considerable judgment and initiative. Working knowledge of low voltage systems. Working knowledge of network principles. Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen. Comply with company drug and alcohol policy. Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.
