Requirements & Responsibilities Applicants for this position must be willing to work full-time M-F (8-hr shift with a 1-hour lunch break). (Projected schedule 8:30am - 5:30pm) Must be willing to work with children ages 6-weeks to 2 years and must be willing to assist in ALL required personal care routines. Applicants should have a love of teaching, working with children, and have the desire to learn and grow within the early childhood education field! Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence through quality teacher-created lesson planning that utilizes gathered assessment data. Establish positive and effective family relations through daily in-person professional communication. Proficient with inter-personal communication between children, peers and parents. Must maintain professional commitment to the Goddard inquiry-based educational philosophy. The following required prerequisites: 30 hour Childcare Basics certificate, a negative Tb Test, proof of MMR immunization, CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens Training, WA State Food Handlers, Goddard required Abuse & Safe Sleep Training, and all required DCYF training courses.
