The CCU RN must work successfully in a fast paced environment while caring for critically ill patients. The incumbent must utilize quick critical thinking skills and be a strong patient advocate. The RN plans, provides and/or supervises the nursing care of patients in an efficient and caring manner. The individual must adhere to universal precautions, and be compliant with infection control policies. The CCU RN works independently with minimal supervision and collaborates with physicians and other disciplines to ensure quality patient care.
