Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing specialized dialysis care to patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols. Collaborates with medical teams to deliver exceptional hemodialysis services in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer hemodialysis treatments to patients following established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Monitor patient vital signs, blood chemistry, and response to treatment, reporting any anomalies.
• Connect and disconnect patients from dialysis machines, ensuring proper machine setup and disinfection.
• Educate patients and family members on dialysis procedures, care plans, and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient observations, and clinical notes.
• Follow all infection control, regulatory, and licensing requirements during all procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 18 months recent PERMANENT dialysis experience prior to travel.
• Possess a valid Ohio license or a compact state license in hand.
• Be certified in American Red Cross BLS & ACLS.
• Provide two recent references from a supervisor or manager within the last 12 months.
• Demonstrate active certifications with no pending issues.
• Pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation.
