Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Infusion

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 5 days a week, with potential shifts including:

• 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient infusion clinic team. This position requires prior oncology and infusion experience, allowing first-time travelers to apply successfully. The clinic is known for its supportive environment, where travelers are valued as integral members of the staff. The manager actively recognizes and awards travelers for their contributions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily administration of chemotherapy infusions (approximately 6 infusions plus 1-2 port draws).
• Utilize Alaris Infusion Pumps and CADD Ambulatory Pumps proficiently.
• Monitor patients during and after chemotherapy administration for adverse effects and complications.
• Provide nursing care for patients with complex oncology needs.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of oncology and infusion experience required.
• Oncology Certification from ONCC or ONS is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred.
• Familiarity with chemotherapy administration, central line care, and managing potential complications.
