Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
Design tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure seamless care strategies.
Provide educational resources to patients and families to foster progress beyond the therapy room.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, maintaining a continuous care approach throughout the patient journey.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
Stay abreast of new developments in the field by engaging in ongoing education and collaborating with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.
State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting the job.
Expertise in evidence-based treatments for diverse age groups, with strong knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
Ability to adapt therapy strategies to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Solid clinical judgment paired with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and adhering to documentation standards.
