Job Description

This position will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

• Providing primary engineering support for machining processes and equipment
• Supporting the Manufacturing Engineering Department and Machine Shop operations
• Applying engineering principles within a low‑volume, high‑mix manufacturing environment
• Analyzing and planning equipment and tooling requirements
• Creating and updating mechanical drawings to current design standards
• Developing and maintaining work instructions and manufacturing documentation
• Creating and implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Working hands‑on with assemblers, technicians, and engineers to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
• Training manufacturing personnel on new or revised processes
• Designing and implementing efficient work cell layouts in a lean manufacturing environment
• Designing fixturing using CAD software
• Recommending equipment, materials, and tooling to support manufacturing capability
• Supporting capital project justifications and new equipment validation (IQ, OQ, PQ)
• Reviewing and dispositioning non‑conforming material

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years' experience in a specialised engineering discipline
• At least three years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting machining or machine shop operations
• Ability to work hands‑on in a production setting
• Strong problem‑solving and continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and management teams
