Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Location: Tuba City, Arizona

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: All shifts available.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering nursing care to critically ill patients and may occasionally float to the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatrics as needed. This role requires professional knowledge, adherence to standards of care, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients of all ages.
• Manage post-operative recovery for surgical patients, including pediatric and obstetric cases.
• Evaluate and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Comply with hospital policies, doctors' orders, and established standards of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice in the U.S.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), both from the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification within six months of hire.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of hire.
