Mechanical Construction Project Manager

Mechanical Construction Project Manager Location: Menomonie, WI We are looking for a Mechanical Construction Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial plumbing and HVAC construction projects ranging from $1M to $10M in scope. The role involves maintaining accurate labor projections, producing reliable forecasts of project financial performance, and actively managing work through all phases of execution. You will meet regularly with management to review project status, schedules, and key milestones, and participate in turnover meetings to ensure seamless transitions from preconstruction to execution and closeout. This position plans and coordinates installation activities with engineers, field leadership, suppliers, and subcontractors to drive successful project outcomes. The role requires a hands‑on approach to project management, influencing financial performance of regional work while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality expectations. You will support customer follow‑up as needed and work within Ahern’s unified team structure (Purchasing, Drafting, Collections). Qualifications: Prior construction project management or sales experience with plumbing and HVAC related projects. Post‑secondary degree in a related field preferred (not required). Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, basic understanding of design, and ability to create disciplined estimates. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
