Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Required Must-Have: Telemetry experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit consists of 29 private rooms. There are currently 18 staff members on the unit, including RNs, case managers, and respiratory therapists. Typical staffing ratios are 1:4 or 1:5. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates must have ACLS and BLS certifications. Telemetry experience is essential for this role. Preferred qualifications include NIH Stroke certification and experience in ICU, Tele, or PCU settings. Typical procedures performed include blood transfusions, IV starts, and high fall risk patient management. The best personality fit for this position is a team player who is engaged and self-motivated. This position may require floating to various units as needed. Dress code for this role is navy blue scrubs. Weekend shifts may be required.
