The role involves providing care for postpartum mothers and their newborns. Candidates should possess a positive attitude and be flexible team players. The unit cares for a maximum of 70 patients, with a staff of 120 members. Patient ratios during night shifts are approximately 1:3 for couplets. Typical procedures include providing M/B care and lactation consultation support. Additional responsibilities may include phototherapy and blood sugar checks. IV antibiotics administration may also be part of the duties. This position might also involve floating as a resource nurse, though it is rare. Weekend shifts are included, with an expectation of 3-4 per schedule. No on-call duties are required for this position.
