JOB TITLE: Receptionist

STATUS/HOURS: Part Time, 28 weekly hours

DEPARTMENT: Admissions

REPORTS TO: Market Director of Admissions

LOCATION: Wauwatosa Campus

Please note: Work schedule will be determined in collaboration with the Market Director of Admissions and may include daytime and/or evening hours based on candidate availability and departmental needs. Opportunities for Saturday hours are also available, typically 9am-1pm, with extended Saturday hours during peak enrollment periods.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing multiline telephone system, greeting visitors, handling incoming/outgoing mail, and performing routine clerical tasks for the admissions department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer and direct calls
• Keeps track of daily inquiry log
• Responsible for retrieving & routing voice mail messages
• Greets and assists visitors
• Directs visitors to appropriate staff member or location
• Comfortable with making and receiving calls to all of the B&SC student population as needs arise
• Able to manage multiple calendars and appointments across different departments
• Prepares other correspondence as needed
• Supports the Admissions, Financial Aid, and Academic Advising Departments
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Ability to meet and communicate effectively with students and visitors
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all associates
• Requires good planning, organizing, and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

EDUCATION

• Associates degree from an accredited college preferred.
