Pharmacy Technician

Perform professional and clinical duties in the dispensing of medications to patients and clinic.

Essential functions include preparing, filling, and verifying prescriptions; storing and preserving medications; checking incoming shipments; charging third-party payers; removing outdated drugs; distributing clinic stock supplies; overseeing pharmacy technicians and clerks; participating in in-service training; providing drug information; and attending staff and planning meetings.

Job qualifications include knowledge of or experience working with the LGBTQ community; a passion for the Center's mission; a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; current licensure to practice pharmacy in California; credentialing as an HIV Pharmacist; one year of previous retail or ambulatory clinic pharmacy experience; background and knowledge of HIV/AIDS and their drugs and pharmacology; excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual skills; good computer skills; and demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
