Del Conca USA is seeking a detail-oriented Production Operator to monitor and maintain advanced automated tile manufacturing equipment in our state-of-the-art SMART Factory in Loudon, TN.

In this role, you will oversee high-tech automated machinery (including unloading, brushing, surface, caliper, stackers/CPK, labeling, palletizing, and strapping systems) to ensure proper tile flow, packaging, and quality. You will play an essential role in troubleshooting minor jams, performing basic material loading, and ensuring our production lines run safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Program, set up, and run automated sorting line machinery according to production orders to ensure correct boxing and labeling.
• Troubleshooting & Jam Clearing: Monitor lines for jams, chips, damage, or irregular tile flow. Safely resolve issues using approved E-Stop and safety procedures.
• Quality Control: Visually inspect tiles and finished packaging throughout the process to verify compliance with strict quality standards. Report defects promptly to the QC Specialist or Supervisor.
• Material Handling & Logistics: Ensure appropriate levels of operating supplies (glue pellets, corrugated boxes, labels). Safely operate a forklift as needed to transport materials or pallets.
• Data Logging: Maintain accurate production and quality control logs in accordance with established factory procedures.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Comply with all OSHA regulations, wear required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, cut-resistant sleeves, eye protection), and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of manufacturing, automated machine operation, or production experience is preferred.
• Forklift Experience: Prior experience operating a forklift is a major plus.
• Technical Aptitude: Comfort working with automated machinery, control panels, and computerized packaging systems in a modern SMART factory environment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Physical Activity: Frequently standing and walking on concrete floors; frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs to access and adjust machinery.
• Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination to handle small labels, operate touch control panels, and use scanning equipment.
• Lifting Capacity: Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and move tiles or material boxes weighing up to 60 pounds .
• Work Environment: Operating in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing plant. Exposure to moderate-to-loud noise levels, dust, vibration, and temperature variations near production machinery is typical.
