Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of direct liver/transplant RN experience required License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross ACLS, BLS; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start Must-Have: Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience reflected on skills checklist. Must be proficient in Misonix/CUSA. Candidates must have experience putting organs back in the new patient, not just harvesting. Description: The position requires an RN to work 1100-2330 with liver call. Other cases will be performed if no liver/transplant cases are available. All requirements are non-negotiable. Candidates will be required to be on-call for one shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month. The nurse manager will discuss the specifics during the interview. Travelers must abide by a smoke-free policy; all employees must be nicotine-free. The unit is a teaching facility. All candidates must be willing to participate in training for students and new staff. Time-sensitive modules need to be prioritized first once confirmed for an assignment. All requests for time off must be included upfront. Any late requests may not be approved. Travel candidates who do not complete the required training may be removed from the schedule.
