Physician - Orthopedic Surgery

Position Overview HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BE/BC orthopedic surgeon to join our established, growing orthopedic practice in Effingham, Illinois. The practice is located in a suburban setting 90 minutes from St. Louis and 3 hours from Chicago, and is affiliated with St. Anthony Memorial Hospital – one of Illinois’ two hospitals recognized by The Joint Commission for Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacement Certification. Responsibilities Monday – Friday clinic schedule with an option for a four‑day work week. Seven days per month of on‑call duty. Minimal after‑hours clinic call. Use of EPIC EMR and dedicated RN first assistant who also supports clinic work. Robotic assistance available for surgical cases. Requirements Unrestricted Illinois medical license prior to start. Board Certified or Board Eligible, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. MD, DO, or professional equivalent degree. Ability and willingness to perform shoulder cases. Visa sponsorship available for H1B & J1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Controlled Substance license for state and federal DEA, where applicable. Successful completion or ongoing completion of an accredited residency program. Compensation & Incentives Base salary ($750,000+), with potential for higher earnings through productivity and quality bonuses. Eligibility for Public Student Loan Forgiveness program participation.
