About PTX Pierce Technologies, Inc. is a boutique analytics and software engineering firm serving aerospace and defense manufacturers. We build the dashboards, reports, ERP integrations, and process automations that help some of the industry's most complex manufacturing operations run smarter. Our team is small, our clients are serious, and the work is real — you won't be making coffee or updating slide decks. Our primary client is a Tier 1 defense manufacturer with operations in Louisville and across the US. As an intern or co‑op at PTX, you'll work alongside our engineering team on active client engagements from day one. The Role We're looking for a technically curious, driven student or recent graduate to join us as an Analytics Engineer Intern/Co-op . You'll contribute to the full lifecycle of analytics work: pulling and transforming data from complex ERP systems (SAP), building Power BI dashboards and reports, and helping us develop internal tooling and automation. This role starts with internal support work and has a clear path toward direct client‑facing responsibilities for high‑performers. What You'll Do Write and optimize SQL queries against large, complex databases in a SQL Server environment Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for operations, supply chain, and manufacturing functions Connect to and query SAP data across modules including Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Sales & Distribution (SD) Support data pipeline and ETL work, including data cleaning and transformation Assist in developing internal web‑based tools and reporting applications (if you have web dev skills, we'll use them) Document data models, report logic, and analytical findings Collaborate closely with senior engineers — this is a mentorship‑heavy environment What We're Looking For Required: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Proficiency in SQL — you should be comfortable writing queries from scratch, not just reading them Hands‑on experience with Power BI (building reports, writing DAX measures, connecting to data sources) US Citizenship (required due to the nature of our defense industry client work) Ability to work on‑site in Louisville, KY — this role is not remote You’ll thrive here if you: Like digging into messy, real‑world data problems without a clean answer key Are comfortable in a fast‑paced, small‑team environment where you wear multiple hats Ask good questions and don't wait to be handed a task Take pride in work that actually gets used by real people Compensation & Details Pay: $25–$35/hr depending on experience and skill level Type: Paid internship or co‑op (semester or summer, with potential to extend) Location: On‑site, Louisville, KY (309 Townepark Circle) Travel: None required Citizenship: US Citizenship required *Pierce Technologies, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.* #J-18808-Ljbffr Austin Community College
