Job Overview:
This position is a member of the Payroll Automation Team within the Finance Division. The role involves gathering business requirements, testing, implementing, and documenting payroll and business processes, as well as related interfaces impacting payroll systems and the general ledger. This is a 6-18 month contract position with no potential for conversion at this time. The role requires 60% on-site work in Tempe, Arizona, with virtual interviews. Candidates must have strong SAP payroll experience and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements related to payroll and business activities.
• Analyze and evaluate information from multiple sources to create documentation, including business requirements, process flows, test plans, test scripts, and test results.
• Assist in developing and performing testing related to payroll systems and downstream systems.
• Represent the department in meetings and through written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.
• Identify and document internal controls in support of the auditing team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, or equivalent experience/training, including payroll and payroll processes.
• 3-5 years of experience in Payroll, Finance, or Accounting.
• Experience with SAP Payroll is required.
• Experience with in-depth business systems analysis, functional design, documentation, and process modeling.
• Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with system design and implementation.
• Ability to read and understand multiple labor agreements.
• Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under stressful situations and handle multiple assignments with changing priorities and minimal supervision.

Pay Range:$45- $50/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
