Summary/Objective

Janitorial duties at the Ozark Regional Office.

Essential Job Duties

The duties of this position would include, but not be limited to:

• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Occasional use of carpet extractor as needed.
• General cleaning which includes dusting and wiping down common surfaces and desks.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms.
• Restocking paper products and regularly updating supervisor (or delegate) of needed items.
• Recycling duties.
• Trash removal and relining receptacles.

Ancillary Job Duties

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• At least one (1) year of related experience.
• Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge of facility maintenance equipment and the use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.
• Ability to develop cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to work varying shifts and hours, as needed.

Work Environment

• Occasionally exposed to loud noises which may require the use of hearing protection.
• May be subject to exposure to cleaning chemicals, fumes or airborne particles and work near moving mechanical parts.

Physical Abilities

• Move about grounds, both inside and outside of buildings.
• Frequently operate cleaning tools and equipment such as a vacuum, mop, broom, and carpet extractor.
• Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more, and three-dimensional vision
• Regularly lift up to 5 pounds, correctly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Concentrated attention is required at all times.
• Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

This position has been determined to be Nonexempt according to the Fair Labor Standards Act. Employees must agree to accept compensatory time in lieu of cash payments in accordance with the Department's Compensatory Time Off and Overtime Policy.
