About This Office

Smile Design Villages | Summerfield, Florida

Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing (SRP)
• Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting clinical findings
• Take and evaluate dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Educate patients on oral health, preventive care, and the connection between oral and overall health
• Build strong, lasting relationships with patients by delivering personalized, patient-focused care
• Partner with the doctor to co-diagnose and support comprehensive treatment planning
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Follow all infection control and sterilization protocols in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Contribute to a smooth and efficient daily schedule by collaborating with team members
• Support a positive patient experience from start to finish

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Florida
• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• Strong focus on patient relationships and delivering exceptional care
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong clinical and organizational skills
• Positive attitude with a solutions-focused mindset

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
