NOW HIRING: Music Director for A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE MUSICAL Organization: Limelight Theatre Inc (Non-Profit) Compensation: $1,000 flat fee for rehearsals. Position Summary: Limelight Theatre Inc. seeks an experienced, creative Music Director for our upcoming production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE MUSICAL in our intimate 127 seat theatre. This is the Alan Menken/Lynn Ahrens version of the show. The Music Director will lead the vocal and musical development of the cast and provide live piano accompaniment during rehearsals. Applicants must be local. Limelight Theatre does not provide housing or travel stipends. Key Responsibilities: Vocal & Music Direction: Teach scores, harmonies, and provide detailed musical direction and coaching to cast members. Piano Accompaniment: Serve as the primary pianist for vocal rehearsals Tracked Performances: Rehearse with the cast to acquaint them with the backing tracks that will be used during performances. Collaboration: Work closely with the Director, Choreographer, and Stage Manager to align tempo, timing, and artistic vision. Requirements Strong piano performance skills and proficiency in sight-reading musical theatre scores. Demonstrated experience in musical direction and vocal coaching. Ability to work productively with performers of varying skill levels in a community theatre environment. Full availability for the designated rehearsal schedule and tech week.
